About Us

Worstead, the home of traditional "Worsted" wool in the 14th century, hosts an annual festival offering a wide variety of crafts, an eclectic mix of entertainment and family fun. At Worstead they do it on a massive scale, attracting about 25,000 visitors every year to peruse and indulge in the country crafts - weaving and spinning demonstrations, working heavy horses, farmyard and rare-breed animals, tractors and agricultural implements, vintage cars, an air rifle range and a fairground - all with family entertainment.

The Worstead Festival is a charity and comes together each year with the help of numerous volunteers. The object of the Worstead Festival charity is to raise funds for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Worstead Parish and surrounding neighbourhood.

The history of the Worstead Festival

The first village festival was
on a much smaller scale! The first festival was organised to raise the much needed
funds to restore the church.
